Banner is a “State of the Art” suite of Administrative Applications designed specifically for Institutions of Higher Education. These applications include but are not limited to:
- Student Registration
- Student Financial Aid
- Employee Payroll
- Financial Accounting and Accounts Payables.
Among other things Banner provides (1) “24hours / 7 days a week” access for Students, Faculty and Staff, (2) fully Integrated – Information needs to be entered only once, (3) the use of Electronic Forms and Automated Processes, and (4) real-time information regarding student enrollment, grades, finance and budgets.
Banner benefits the University system by giving administrators the ability to more accurately / more timely, report to our state and federal agencies. Banner provides improved methods of tracking recruitment and enrollment. Banner will give the University a consistent Administrative Platform. Utilizing the features available in Banner will generate immediate feedback and data about what is going on throughout the Southern University System. A by-product of this system-wide implementation will allow each location to serve as disaster recovery sites the other.
